Well I think this is likely my last Thursday evening market table.  Listening to some Miss American Pie watching square dancing.

I’d like to say the Thursday markets worked but unfortunately they were very slow.  It is a new market time and not an overwhelming number of vendors have been attending.

I still have lots of potatoes and carrots though.  So if anyone is interested in 10lbs bags of potatoes and 5lbs bags of carrots you can contact me.

My Booth

me in farmers market booth

That would be me in my farmers’ market booth.  I usually try and keep the plastic container labels not facing the customer but I guess I missed a couple that day.  Behind me is my pricing board which is still something I’m learning to do.  I usually have to ask around a little bit to determine what the going rate at the market is for that day and then adjust accordingly.  You can see I’m pretty heavily stacked towards the summer squash.

Squash at The Market

This is a sample of what we took to the farmers market while we had summer squash to harvest.  We worked on the display a little bit but didn’t always attract the vegetable buyers at the market.  We didn’t have a great selection of other produce and we were mainly known at the time for Trent’s bread.  Not everyone at the market recognized these squash as being edible as well.  My favorite way of eating them was to slice them up and add some oil, garlic, little salt, little pepper then throw them on the bbq.
